December 2009

Thank you to all parents and guardians who came to school to meet with your child's teacher. December is a busy month for J. C. Hill staff and students. Although we have a lot of activities prior to the Christmas vacation, students are still learning new and valuable information that will help them be successful in the next term.

Grade 8 students are preparing Science Fair Projects. Remember, Homework Support can help students research their topics and build their display boards.

Enjoy the rest of December and get ready for a great 2010 year!

November 2009

All students were given a newsletter for November to take home. If you have not seen the newsletter, please ask your child! We have put important dates and information in the newsletter in order to keep parents informed.

Coming soon is the December 4 Report Card Day. Parents will have an opportunity to meet with teachers regarding the progress of your child. A sign up sheet will be coming home soon with your child to schedule an interview time.

We continually remind students about proper hand washing techniques, provide hand sanitizer in each classroom, covering coughs and sneezes and staying home if they are sick. If you child is ill, please call the school and let the secretary know. Someone is in the office to answer the phones starting at 8 am each morning.

Hope to see many parents out on December 4th.

Another Great Year!

It is hard to believe that we are now into October! Each day teachers are gathering information and assessments in preparation for December 4th Report Card Day. Your attendance is very important to your academic success - please be here everyday, on time, ready to participate!

Remember to use your Agendas everyday for homework, assignments and special events!
